An agreement on the Strait of Hormuz is taking shape – but not one Trump wants
Control or supervision over the chokepoint has become just as much a red line for Tehran as the right to nuclear enrichment.

Iran och Oman har enats om de geografiska koordinaterna för en föreslagen sjöfartsrutt genom Hormuzsundet, enligt Irans utrikesdepartement.  


Since attacking Iran in February, Trump’s immediate demands have shrunk from a sprawling list of concessions involving Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, ballistic missile production and support for proxy militias to just one: that Iran allow the Strait of Hormuz to return to its prewar state.

Efter överlag positiva börser igår inleds onsdagen med breda uppgångar i de asiatiska tidszonerna och girigheten är tillbaka på världens börser efter flera index slog rekord igår.


Stockholmsbörsen öppnade uppåt för femte handelsdagen i rad, men har successivt handlats nedåt.

Stockholmsbörsen föll tillbaka från en stark öppning och avslutade runt nollstrecket. Därmed bröts sviten med fyra raka dagar med uppgångar.





Röd stängning på Wall Street: ”Rimlig paus”
Wall Street inledde onsdagen starkt men avslutade med enbart Dow Jones på plus.

Cognitive blind spots are undermining our ability to see the world as it is, rather than as we would like it to be. At the start of the 21st century, western elites generally assumed that globalisation, democracy and the free market were self-evidently good, and would keep spreading, creating peace. N o longer.  FIS, Swiss Federal Intelligence Service, has published a manual about cognitive blind spots. 18 different cognitive biases that hamper our thinking, such as “group think” (adhering to the cosy assumptions of our tribe), “anchoring” (relying exclusively on whatever information we see first, say on social media),  “confirmation bias” (only seeing data that reinforces pre-existing views),  “mirror imaging” (assuming others think like us),  “absence of evidence” bias (failing to think about the data we lack)  and “survivorship bias” (judging data only with success stories, not failures).
