Extremely high temperatures of over 35 C  forecast for France, Spain and Italy.

Millions of people across Europe on Wednesday were set for more extreme heat, as yet another heat wave descends on the world's fastest-warming continent.

In France, Italy and Spain, some 92 million people are expected to swelter in temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) on Wednesday.

Some 300 million people — more than half Europe's population — will see temperatures pass 30 C.

The German Weather Service has forecast highs on Wednesday of 34 C. 

Temperatures are set to climb to 37 C on Thursday and as high as 39 C by Friday for much of western and southern Germany.

Nu tackar alla bonus-direktörer för den svaga kronan framkallad av den låga räntan.

Svenska räntor lägre än Euro-räntor.
Långt lägre än USA-räntor.



Billy Larsson menar att människor i gemen är helt inriktade på ökad materiell konsumtion och en ständig statusjakt och att det därför är svårt för politikerna att gå före eftersom de vill bli både valda och omvalda.

Om det är utgångspunkten så menar jag att politikerna helt har missuppfattat sin roll.

What will we use AI to create?

Intelligence becomes cheap. Productivity soars. Scientific discovery accelerates. We live longer, get richer, even look sexier. Where do I sign up?

I’m not asking how we divide the wealth AI creates. I’m asking a prior question: What will we use AI to create in the first place? 

Technological revolutions often build the infrastructure before anyone knows all the applications it will enable. Perhaps the transformative AI applications simply haven’t arrived yet.

Cognitive blind spots are undermining our ability to see the world as it is, rather than as we would like it to be. At the start of the 21st century, western elites generally assumed that globalisation, democracy and the free market were self-evidently good, and would keep spreading, creating peace. N o longer.  FIS, Swiss Federal Intelligence Service, has published a manual about cognitive blind spots. 18 different cognitive biases that hamper our thinking, such as “group think” (adhering to the cosy assumptions of our tribe), “anchoring” (relying exclusively on whatever information we see first, say on social media),  “confirmation bias” (only seeing data that reinforces pre-existing views),  “mirror imaging” (assuming others think like us),  “absence of evidence” bias (failing to think about the data we lack)  and “survivorship bias” (judging data only with success stories, not failures).
