U.S. posts third largest trade deficit ever
The nation’s trade deficit fell in 2025 by a meager 0.2% to $902 billion, but only due to a large and quirky increase in gold
Imports actually rose almost 5% last year and hit a record high.
China was the main loser, with U.S. imports of goods tumbling 28% in 2025.
