EU förbereder ett katastrofalt misstag
Man vill ju gärna vara PK och vad skulle vara mer OPK än att säga nej till att ta in i Ukraina i EU.
Men om man vill ta in Ukraina i EU kan man inte säga nej till länderna på Västra Balkan som sedan länge givits vaga men ändå löften om att tas in som medlemmar.
Västra Balkan är EUs EUfemism för ex-Jugoslavien.
Jugoslavien var ett EU i miniatyr; en politisk, ekonomisk och monetär union.
Det slutade mycket olyckligt.

The talk now is of admitting as many as nine new members, including Ukraine.
Joining the world’s most successful club of peaceful, prosperous democracies would set that war-ravaged country—and fellow aspirant members in the Western Balkans, Georgia and Moldova—on a new and promising path.
For the EU itself it would also be nothing short of historic, completing a grand continental union and marking the end of a process that started with victory over the Nazis.
The EU can no longer afford to string the nine would-be members along by letting their applications drag on without a realistic hope of them joining.
Once it is enlarged to 36, it would be foolish to allow a single country’s government to veto collective action, as is the case now for foreign affairs and taxation.
More than anything, if Europe is to count as a force in the world, it needs to show that it has the capacity to act.
