The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note reached 4.737% in recent trading, its highest intraday level since January 2025.
President Donald Trump said the US-led Board of Peace had reached an agreement for Hamas to disarm.
Trump said Israel would withdraw from the territory after Hamas's disarmament is completed and an International Stabilization Force would then work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza's safety.
“Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks,” the president said.
Senior Hamas officials confirmed they had struck a deal with Israel that includes provisions on addressing the group’s weapons.

Marknadsvärdet på den genomsnittliga aktieportföljen vid årsskiftet var 581.200 kronor. Men det dras upp av ett gäng mycket förmögna personer som Stefan Persson och Fredrik Lundberg.
Medianportföljen uppgick i stället till mer blygsamma 87.000 kronor, enligt SCB.
5 procent av svenskarna äger hälften av alla tillgångarna och varannan svensk har inga, eller små, tillgångar. FI uppskattar till exempel att ungefär 4 procent av svenskarna har mer än en miljon kronor i fondinnehav, men 60 procent har mindre än 10.000 kronor.
Trots snedfördelningen finns det ändå mycket att glädjas över i det svenska sparandet. Svenska privatpersoner äger aktier för 1.400 miljarder kronor, vilket är en dubbling av värdet sedan 2018.
Det har gynnat många svenskar och visar vilken kraft aktier kan vara som sparform.

Who Is Leopold Aschenbrenner?
He is known for his work on AI safety and publishing his views on the future of advanced artificial intelligence systems. After leaving OpenAI in 2024, he released an essay titled ‘Situational Awareness,’
arguing that artificial general intelligence could arrive within years and reshape the global economy and geopolitical competition.
The essay gained traction among investors, researchers and policymakers in Silicon Valley and Washington, establishing Aschenbrenner as a closely-followed voice in conversations about AI’s future.
Leopold Aschenbrenner, 23-year-old with no professional investing experience, AI influencer, started Situational Awareness, an AI-focused hedge fund that now manages over $1.5 billion.
