Euro-Area Prices Slow Less Than Expected

 



Consumer prices rose 2.8% from year ago in January; est. 2.7%

President Christine Lagarde said last week that the Governing Council wants to be “further along the disinflation process to be sufficiently confident.” 

This week, she signaled that a move before June’s meeting is unlikely by describing eagerly awaited wage data due just before that as “critically important.”

About me Why am I writing this?
