The US economy is looking good. Aggressively good. Maybe too good
Traders are reconsidering just how realistic it is that we'll get a “Goldilocks” scenario of steady growth and decelerating inflation.
Benchmark interest rates will have to stay higher for longer than some thought a few weeks ago. And as Morris said on Surveillance this morning, “If you hold rates high enough for long enough, growth will slow.”
“Ultimately growth is going to have to slow, even if the US economy really just refuses to do so.”
