1968 in Paris again, more or less

That afternoon Arianne, the daughter of a marketing executive, took part in her first protest march, called by unions representing schoolchildren and university students.

They were campaigning against Sarkozy’s bill that will raise the minimum retirement age from 60 to 62 and the full pension age from 65 to 67.

At times the march felt more like a party than a protest, with the teenagers snapping pictures of one another with their mobile phones as they bopped and jived to music blaring from giant loudspeakers mounted on two trucks.

Det får mig att tänka på Cecilia Malmström och Birgitta Ohlsson, på något vis.
