Martin Wolf: Will IT disrupt finance? Please. Yes. Bill Gates.

Information technology has disrupted the entertainment, media and retail businesses and, most recently, the supply of hotel rooms and taxis. 

 Is it going to do the same to finance?

 My first response is: please. 

 My second response is: yes. 

 As Bill Gates has said, 
“We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next 10.

About me Why am I writing this? Being a long-time market bear and being wrong most of the time, with a few exceptions, like 2008, I fear that we do not have the worst behind us. - If you are interested in why people act the way they do, chronology is the only way to go. Time and time again I have discovered that events become comprehensible only when you follow the chronology of a course where those involved, unlike the historian, do not know how it will go. - Om man är intresserad av varför människor agerar som de gör är kronologin den enda vägen.
